Lock 15 Euston Weir and Fishway Upgrade
Location: Sunraysia region on the River Murray near Euston, NSW and Robinvale, Victoria
Project cost: $12.5 million
Funding: Murray Darling Basin Authority and The Living Murray Program
Start date: April 2010 (construction)
Expected completion: Mid 2011
Description: Upgrade Lock 15 weir navigable pass and fishway to comply with the latest flood safety and operational requirements.
Benefits
- Protect the structure from erosion.
- Improve structural integrity of the weir.
- Upgraded fishway will enable small aquatic species to pass through the weir.
Milestones
- June 2005 - Project inception and preparation of project plan.
- November 2008 - Board approval for tender for detailed design.
- October 2009 - Detail design to be completed.

- May 2009 - Contract for detailed design awarded to URS.
