Description: Upgrade Lock 15 weir navigable pass and fishway to comply with the latest flood safety and operational requirements.

Benefits

  • Protect the structure from erosion.
  • Improve structural integrity of the weir.
  • Upgraded fishway will enable small aquatic species to pass through the weir.

Milestones

  • June 2005 - Project inception and preparation of project plan.
  • November 2008 - Board approval for tender for detailed design.
  • October 2009 - Detail design to be completed.

Updates

  • May 2009 - Contract for detailed design awarded to URS.
