Stage One: Construction of a parapet
wall on top of the dam wall crest and
raising the spillway training walls.
Storage capacity and water releases
will not be altered by the upgrade.

Updates

Contract for stage one works awarded to McMahon Contractors Pty Ltd.

Construction began following sod turning ceremony on the 29 June 2009.

Site supervision will be undertaken by Professional Engineering Services (PES).

Concrete works at the spillway are nearly complete and the earthfill works are in progress.

Parapet wall construction works at the crest of the dam are in progress, and are due for completion by the end of August.

A 30 tonne all terrain crane is being utilized to facilitate the construction of the parapet wall.

The project is on time and within budget.
